Article No: P9620400

In our body's metabolism, starch is broken down into sugar, which, together with fats, provides the energy needed by the human organism through respiration (=burning). Starch can be detected with the help of Lugol's solution (iodine-iodide solution) by an intense blue coloration. In the presence of starch, an intense blue / violet coloration occurs.
