American Scientific, LLC was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1999 by Sanjay Sadana with a clear mission: provide science for all. AmSci operates as a business-to-business supplier, partnering directly with school districts, universities, laboratories, and resellers to deliver high-quality scientific equipment at competitive prices. Our founder came from a long line of engineers and educators who recognized a real gap between what science education required and what was readily available to teachers. PHYWE Systems GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1913 in Göttingen, Germany. For over 100 years, PHYWE has set the global standard in laboratory science education, with products trusted by universities and schools in more than 120 countries.

American Scientific holds the exclusive distribution agreement for PHYWE products in the United States. U.S. institutions receive PHYWE's full product catalog, adapted for U.S. voltage and power standards where applicable, backed by domestic ordering, service, and support.

The partnership brings together more than a century of German engineering precision and more than 25 years of AmSci's domestic educational expertise.
