Antigen-antibody kit

In this lab practical, students determine which of four possible donors could safely give blood to a patient. Students then develop a case history of a mother and her children to determine the safety of her pregnancy. In each case, they use artificial blood. During the practical, students learn to recognise antigen/antibody reactions and how these reactions affect the body's immune response. They also learn the basics of AB0 and Rhesus (Rh) blood grouping. Detailed instructions for teachers and students (Germany only, other languages available upon request).
