For the precise measurement of the viscosity of transparent Newtonian liquids in combination with a circulation thermostat. The fall time of a ball with density r₁ in the test liquid with density r₂ is measured while it moves through an inclined cylindrical fall tube. From this fall time and a constant K taken from the apparatus table, the dynamic viscosity η is determined.
