Fine beam tube

Article No: 06959-00

The fine beam tube allows the visualization of electron beams in an evacuated glass bulb, which fluoresce due to neon gas. It is mainly used in combination with a pair of Helmholtz coils in secondary and higher education to clearly demonstrate the deflection of electrons in magnetic fields and the specific charge e/m of the electron.

Key Features
  • Fluorescent distance markers allow parallax-free and accurate determination of the circular diameter of the electron beam
  • Plastic end caps ensure secure mounting, and 4 mm connection sockets with wiring diagram enable simple and safe experimental setup
  • Robust and durable design for repeated use in teaching and laboratory environments
