Precision apparatus for hands-on investigation of the Joule-Thomson effect using CO2 and N2 gases. A pressurized gas stream passes through a 37.5 m copper capillary coil (132 coils) to a throttle body, where it undergoes adiabatic expansion. Two Pt-100 temperature measurement points positioned on either side of the throttle enable precise determination of temperature differences at varying pressures, from which the Joule-Thomson coefficient is calculated. Suitable for both demonstration and student experiments at the university level.
